A Culture of Being 'All-In' + Our Tenth Gen. Gathering Tomorrow!
Good morning, Immanuel. God's eagerness to give strong support frees us to be all-in people.
“For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him” (2 Chronicles 16:9).
It’s been said that the Bible is like a sharp knife that you can use rightly to your benefit or wrongly to your harm. Pick up a knife by its handle, and you can use it beneficially. Pick it up by its blade, and you’ll hurt yourself. So it is with a verse like this. The Lord gives strong support to those whose hearts are blameless. Immediately, I’m tempted to disqualify myself - “I’m not blameless. I sin every day!” That is true, I sin every day. But thankfully, a blameless heart is not the same as a sinless heart. Pastor TJ once wrote, “A blameless heart is a whole heart, an all-in heart.” It’s banking everything on God because of who he says he is for us in Christ. It’s giving yourself fully to the Lord in hope because He is faithful. And when the Lord sees that, he loves to give strong support. Again, Pastor TJ writes…
It is unthinkable to Jesus that whole-hearted trust in God should go unsupported. Therefore, He is actively engaged in discovering our all-in faith. Moment by moment, His eyes are upon us with a desire to fill every moment of dependence with strong support—and only strong support will do! There is nothing half-hearted or mediocre about His advocacy. He’s all in! He gives strong support as if He has said, “See how ready I am to help you? You have more than ‘just enough” in me. When you depend on me, your wholehearted trust will always be met by my wholehearted best. So, go for it! See if I won’t come through for you!”
Knowing God’s eagerness to meet our all-in faith with His all-in power changes everything. His eagerness empowers our eagerness in return. So, let’s follow Jesus no matter what! Let’s go for it!
Join us this upcoming Wednesday, June 26, for a joyful Tenth Generation Churchwide Gathering. Doors open at 5 PM with fellowship and food in the courtyard. We’ll gather in the worship center at 6:30 PM for updates. Plan to stick around afterward for desserts as well! Let’s celebrate this incredible opportunity the Lord has given us together.
Going for it!
