God is Glad to Have You
You are not just barely forgiven. You are deeply loved and joyfully received!
“The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing” (Zephaniah 3:17).
God doesn’t just forgive sinners—he welcomes us into his joy. Through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, we’re not just rescued—we’re wanted. God didn’t save us reluctantly. He wasn’t talked into it. He loved us because He wanted to love!
The gospel is not an invitation into a mediocre love, but a welcome into the very heart of God’s delight. How does God feel about us today? How does He see us? According to the gospel, he sees us clothed in Christ’s righteousness. He isn’t waiting for us to be impressive—he’s already pleased because of what Jesus has done. That means you can stop wondering if God is tired of you. He isn’t. He rejoices over you.
“The Lord your God is in your midst,
a mighty one who will save;
he will rejoice over you with gladness;
he will quiet you by his love;
he will exult over you with loud singing.” (Zephaniah 3:17)
So today, let this steady your heart:
You are not barely accepted.
You are not just barely forgiven.
You are deeply loved and joyfully received—because you are in Christ.
And because of Jesus, God is glad to have you.
Good news, thank you so much Tony 🙏🏼
