“As for the saints in the land, they are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight” (Psalm 16:3).
The most important thing about you is what God thinks of you. My opinion of myself is unreliable. It often vacillates from being too high, or too low. The point is, I can’t trust it. But what God thinks about me is definite. Concrete. We can build our lives on that. And here is God’s opinion - “saints…the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight.” Let that settle in. Spurgeon notes-
He who knows them best says of them, "in whom is all my delight."…Their own opinion of themselves is far other than their Beloved's opinion of them; they count themselves to be less than nothing, yet he makes much of them, and sets his heart towards them. What wonders the eyes of Divine Love can see where the Hands of Infinite Power have been graciously at work.
God be praised!

Next Week | November 29th
On November 29th, we have the privilege of hosting our friend John Dickson to our Wednesday night series, #Trending Questions. John has authored several books, notably “A Doubter's Guide to Jesus: An Introduction to the Man from Nazareth for Believers and Skeptics.” You can check that out on Amazon here. John has given well over a hundred talks yearly at conferences, churches, schools, not-for-profits, corporations, and universities worldwide. He is fascinated by history and philosophy and about what makes people believe and doubt. We look forward to learning from John and invite as many who are able to join us on Wednesday, November 29th at 6:30 at Immanuel.
