Our Comfort
Good morning Immanuel. Our dying hope is not in what we can do for God but in what God in Christ has done for us.
“Do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven” (Luke 10:20).
Our dying hope is not in what we can do for God but in what God in Christ has done for us. We have no higher source of comfort than that before the foundation of the world, our names were written in heaven, inked forever in the blood of Christ, not penciled in until further notice. Our peace with God was sealed in contract between the Father and the Son before the foundation of the world.
Immanuel family, can you think of a stronger position from which to face the day? He holds most secure what we hold most dear—our life in Christ. Let’s rejoice in God our Savior today!
