"Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life..." (John 11:25a)
Jesus wants us to know that the resurrection is not some mechanical thing out in the future that's on the calendar that happens because God put it on the calendar. The resurrection and the life is wherever Jesus is. The resurrection and the life is wherever he's speaking. So just for good measure, so we can imagine what it will be like when Jesus steps back into our orbit and says, "Church, get up,'“ he jump-starts Lazarus. He wants us to live today with Resurrection hope.
Friends in Jesus Christ, the light of hope has dawned in this world. We're not living in the twilight of life. We're living in the dawn of life. Our future is incredibly bright. And the best of all is that right now, in this very moment, with whatever you are facing, Jesus is with you, and he's for you.

SCHEDULE - Doors open at 5:30p for Hot dogs and hot cocoa; 6:00p is our Kids Carolfest Cookie Contest; 6:30p begins our Carolfest program.

PARK AVENUE GIVING & CLOTHING DRIVE - Along with Carolfest, Immanuel is collecting shoes and coats for the students at Park Avenue Elementary. We’ll also be collecting an offering on behalf of Park Avenue during our Carolfest event. These are all ways to make the real Jesus non-ignorable in our city and far beyond.
