Safe In His Hands
Good morning Immanuel. There are many things to guard our hearts against today, but Jesus is not one of them.
“And [Joseph] kissed all his brothers and wept upon them.” (Genesis 45:15)
What a glorious scene! The betrayed falling with tears and kisses upon his betrayers. Their lives, now under his command, were more secure than if they had been given to any other. Is there a clearer picture of the heart of our Lord than this? He who said from the cross, “Father, forgive them,” and “peace be with you” to the disciples who abandoned him, our lives are surely safer in His hands than our own.
Dear Immanuel family, every thought that says, “He has no more tears or kisses left for you,” is of the devil, and deserving a swift death. There are many things to guard our hearts against today, but Jesus our Lord is not one of them. Our lives, our hearts, and our hopes are safest in His hands.
