Secure In His Love + Midweek Updates

Good morning Immanuel. God's love for us is immense! And we are secure in Him.

“As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people, from this time forth and forevermore”  (Psalm 125:2).

Seven mountain peaks surround Jerusalem. These mountains have stood the test of time and have served as ancient landmarks. Abraham found favor with the Lord in these mountains. King David found refuge in the slopes of these mountains. The hills surrounding Jerusalem are a heritage. But there is an even greater strength surrounding God's people. The Lord Himself surrounds His people as the mountains surround Jerusalem. He surrounds us with mercy, kindness, and covenant faithfulness from generation to generation.

Dear friends, in Christ, you are more secure than a city built on seven hills. In Christ, your standing in His love is firm. No army can prevail against His all-surrounding love. In Him, just as the mountains surround the city of Zion, goodness and mercy surround you all the way home.
