Strong Support
Good morning Immanuel family! The eyes of the Lord are upon us with a desire to fill every moment of dependence with strong support.
“For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him.” (2 Chronicles 16:9)
A blameless heart toward God is not a sinless heart. A blameless heart is a whole heart, an all-in heart. When a child looks to her parents for provision and security, her heart is blameless toward them. However disobedient she may be or however much discipline she still lacks, she is confident of her parents’ love. She eats and sleeps in security. If a nightmare wakes her in the middle of the night, she runs to her parents for comfort. Her trust is not misplaced; neither is ours, who hope in the Lord!
It is unthinkable to Jesus that whole-hearted trust in God should go unsupported. Therefore, He is actively engaged in discovering our all-in faith. Moment by moment, His eyes are upon us with a desire to fill every moment of dependence with strong support—and only strong support will do! There is nothing half-hearted or mediocre about His advocacy. He’s all in! He gives strong support as if He has said, “See how ready I am to help you? You have more than ‘just enough” in me. When you depend on me, your wholehearted trust will always be met by my wholehearted best. So, go for it! See if I won’t come through for you!”
The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him. So, let’s go for it today, Immanuel!
