The Daily, New Podcast, & Updates
Good morning Immanuel! In Christ, we live in the most secure place.
“In Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them” (2 Corinthians 5:19).
In Adam, we are all estranged from God—not only as individuals but as a human race. And that is why the apostle Paul loves the phrase “in Christ” so much. He coined it. He uses it 82 times in thirteen letters-or about every 24 verses. All of Paul’s theology is held in orbit by union with Christ. In Christ, all the trespasses of God’s people are forgiven, and all the promises of God’s word are realized.
Therefore, Immanuel family, we live in the most secure place.
We have been absorbed, along with all our trespasses, into Christ. Our sins were punished in His body at the cross. His resurrection guarantees our future life. He is our brighter future, our promised land, and in Him, we dwell securely.
