The God Who Cares (+Tonight at Immanuel)
God does not turn a blind eye or a deaf ear to his beloved.
“And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. God saw the people of Israel—and God knew” (Exodus 2:24-25).
God knows everything, sees everything, and holds all power. These are amazing qualities, but if they were against us, we would be ruined. Thankfully, the gospel shows us that God uses these qualities for our redemption! What a joy to know that our eternal, covenant-keeping God is not distant, unfaithful, blind, or uncaring. When we cry out for rescue, his heart is revealed: He hears, remembers, sees, and knows.
God hears—not because we cry loud enough, but because his ear is always tuned to the cries of his people. God remembers—not because he ever forgets, but because he is faithful to his promises. God sees—not because we were ever hidden from him, but because his eyes are always looking for ways to show his strength on our behalf (2 Chronicles 16:9). And God knows—because his heart is tied to us. He is deeply invested in us, near to us in suffering, and moved by our pain.
When we look at Jesus, we see this covenant love fully displayed. In him, we see the God who hears, remembers, sees, and knows!

ON THE HORIZON - JANUARY 19TH BUILDING DEDICATION
Join us on Sunday, January 19th, as we celebrate the dedication of 4301 Charlotte Avenue with a special day of worship and fellowship. The day will begin at 9:00 AM with a coffee and pastry hour, followed by a single worship service at 10:00 AM. Seating will be available in both the main worship center and Sadler Chapel. After the service, everyone is invited to pick up a lunch bag and find a spot on campus to enjoy a meal with others as we celebrate what the Lord is doing. You’ll also have the opportunity to tour the building, prayerfully walk the grounds, and dream about how God will use this space for His glory. This is a time to reflect, connect, and celebrate as a church family. We can’t wait to see you there!
Good news indeed. Thank you Tony 🙏🏼
