“But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior” (Titus 3:4-6).
Our world runs on merit—prove yourself, earn your place, get what you deserve. But then, the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared. Not because we measured up or because we had potential, but according to His mercy, He saved us.
Jesus does not meet us halfway. He doesn’t wait for us to clean up or contribute. His mercy is one-sided, all-encompassing, and completely undeserved. He doesn’t make bad people better—He makes dead people alive!
By the power of the Holy Spirit, we are washed clean, renewed from the inside out, and made heirs—not employees earning a wage, but children of God receiving an inheritance. The world runs on merit. But the kingdom of Christ runs on mercy. Hallelujah, what a Savior!
YESSSS!!
